Entry and Exit Xinjiang Procedures

Travelers must fill out the entry or exit procedure cards and submit their effective passports or other credentials for entry and exit to the border inspection station. They can leave or enter China only after their credentials are verified.

Government workers and residents in the frontier areas in the countries adjacent to the People's Republic of China can enter or leave China according to mutual agreements after their credentials are checked by the Chinese border inspection officials. Citizens of countries that have not signed a bilateral agreement with China have to go through the regular entry and exit procedures.
