DAY 1 Lanzhou

This morning, you are greeted at Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport (LHW). Drive to visit the Zhongshan Bridge (aka Lanzhou Yellow River Iron Bridge) and Statue of Mother Yellow River (Yellow River Mother Sculpture). -
DAY 2 Lanzhou/Zhangye
Transfer via: Train - our arrangement
Activities for today: Zhangye Giant Buddha Temple
After hotel breakfast, you are escorted to the railway station for the high speed train to Zhangye. On arrival, pay a visit to Zhangye Giant Buddha Temple.

DAY 3 Zhangye/Jiayuguan
Activities for today: Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park
Today, enjoy a colorful tour in Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park and take a bus ride from Zhangye to Jiayuguan.

DAY 4 Jiayuguan/Dunhuang
Activities for today: Jiayuguan Great Wall Fort
Jiayugaun, or Jiayu Pass is not only the western starting point of the Ming Great Wall, but also a vital pass on the ancient Silk Road. It's the joining place of the cultures of the Silk Road and the Great Wall (along with Dunhuang, which has some Han Dynasty Great Wall relics). In the Ming Dynasty, Jiayu Pass was a vital area for defense against attack from the northwest. The Great Wall was built across the Gobi Desert pass. Jiayu Pass gets its name "the First and Greatest Pass under Heaven" for its strategic, commanding position and grand presence.

DAY 5 Dunhuang
Activities for today: Mogao Grottoes, Echoing-Sand Mountain, Crescent Lake
Today, discover the magnificent scenery and rich history of Dunhuang. We will visit the must-see attractions in Dunhunhuang: Mogao Grottoes, Echoing-Sand Mountain (on camel back) and Crescent Lake.

DAY 6 Dunhuang
Activities for today: Yumen Pass, Han Dynasty Great Wall, Dunhuang Yadan National Geropark
Enjoy a full-day tour of the Yumen Pass (Pass of the Jade Gate), the Han Dynasty Great Wall and Dunhuang Yadan National Geropark.

Activities for today: Aiport/train station transfer
Your trip ends today and a departure transfer to Dunhuang Mogao International Airport (or Dunhuang Railway Station) is provided.
